A FORA analysis with 200 participants from the fashion, electronics and medical devices industries in Denmark clearly states that companies with the skills and the access to knowledge necessary for user-driven innovation are among the companies with the highest economic returns.

The analysis verifies that companies that engage in a scientific and systematic approach to identifying consumer needs have a competitive edge over their competitors.

Companies in all three industries benefit from a people-centred approach at every part of the value chain.

Across the three industries the largest economics benefits from innovation are found in business models and branding/marketing

In the medical devices and electronics industry the average returns from product innovations are substantial.
